Judgment

He dared not look into his eyes. There were no words to express the way that he felt. His heart was full of love and thankfulness and it came to him all at once—a peace that passed his understanding. “It’s a gift, isn’t it God?” he asked cautiously as if the words forming in his mouth were just now forming in his head. “A gift from you.” A fleeting sob caught in his throat as all three stages of his existence; premortal, mortal and post mortal, played before him. When it was over, he kept his head bowed in reverence to the Immortal Being that stood before him. “I’ll always be grateful for my experiences, even though it took me to the very last second to finally understand their purpose.”
“Tell me Jonathan,” God said, “What is their purpose?”

I loved this passage for the most part. The only thing the caught me off guard was the video tape reference I would just go with time warp. Only because everything is written so elegantly. It just stick out there in the wind for me.

Your loving niece,
Gretchen

Thanks Gretchen-actually I totally agree with you-everytime I read that it seemed off to me too. It's soooo gone!

ok, all I can say is hurry and finish it because I want to read the whole thing now! I didn't read all of the posts because I don't want it to give too much of the story away. I am all about surprises! You are so creative! I love it.

Thanks Tara!
It is finished already-I'm just waiting for a few of my readers to go through it and give it a final okay, before I approach a publisher. In fact, I already have about 183 pages written of its sequel, "Occasionally Yours."

That is a very interesting book. It has the right amount of tease, to make you want more. Great job.

Thanks Anna! And I was extremely careful to not reveal any major story line!
